So….let’s shoot in an orchard? ….Well, why not? 

Here are a few pics from a shoot with friend and photog Steve Depino.  We had a fun day hanging clotheslines, riding the bike and playing in the hay…all in Bishops Orchards in Guilford, CT.

I had the chance to do makeup and hair for this fun video created for Rachel Roy by my friends at Behrens Visuals.  If you haven’t had a chance to check out the line Rachel Rachel Roy yet, then you’ve definitely been missing out!  The clothes are creative, stylish and super feminine!  How great is this coat??!

Tiptoe through the….Daffodils!

 Who says you can’t make magic in thirty minutes….or at least play a little dress up, frolic around in an acre or more of daffodils and shoot some pretty pictures??  Well, it seems anything is possible on Team Ten Eyck!  We were literally there, with a timer, for thirty minutes!  NUTS (no pun intended Grandma Nutz) but FUN and I think the results were definitely worth the effort!

The Runway Bride

Last weekend, I participated in a Bridal Fashion Show presented by YOLO …doing makeup, of course! And as always, it takes a village to make the world a prettier place…one model at a time.  I created the look with shades of orchid…it is spring after all.  And a girl can’t go it alone all the time….BIG HUGE thanks to my team for the day…Makeup Artists Alison Russell and Leanne Harpin!  You rocked it ladies!

Working beauty with me was the creative, talented and fun to be around team at Laura Ouellette Salon…doing what they do best…HAIR! The hairstyles were STUNNING and the flowers in the hair played perfectly off the spring colors of the makeup. Fun day of beauty, you guys:)

Very few times in my career have I been offered such an opportunity…to do what I love…paint faces… in another country!  And this time it was Costa Rica!  And WOWZA was it a great time…

Candice Dowling Coppola of Jubilee Events and Carla Ten Eyck and her team of superb photographers organized an editorial bridal shoot to help promote destination weddings in Costa Rica and let me  tell you, if you’re planning a destination wedding, booking your honeymoon or just need a vacation…THIS is where you need to be!!  Magan Hunt of MMH Intl. and Larry of  stayincostarica.com treated us like royalty and I’ve never been anywhere more beautiful!

And the shoot….well…pics for now are top secret, but here’s the inspiration board put together by Candice!  We shot on black sand beaches, rainforests, chapels and mountainside retreats…oh my!  And my head is still spinning from the talent everyone brought to the shoot…Styling by Beth Chapman of  The White Dress by the Shore, Floral Design and Sculpture by Tony Palmieri of Datura, A Modern Garden and moving pictures by Mike and Erica Cyr of Buzz Media Company.

 Photographer Steve Depino and myself got together for a test shoot (just because!) in my studio last week….and here are some of the results!  It was a great day and as you can see some of the inspiration for the shoot was the fact that Spring has FINALLY sprung!
